IGBAJA CDS MEETING HELD ON THE 11th April, 2019.
The meeting started at 10:15am, the
opening prayer was led by Corper Emmannuel and the NYSC anthem was sang.
The president (Corper Thank-God)
said the letters for financial support and letter for notification of coming of
the new Corp members were ready. The president (Corper Thank-God) talked about
the Oriki (Appraisal) for the King (Olese Of Igbaja) as it might probable cause
the king to support us more, so he asked for who had an idea on how to get the Oriki
for the king.
He said the letters of financial
support was ready and because of the financial status of the CDS purse, that
it would not be possible for the CDS to make the photocopies. Corper Deborah
suggested that school had vacated and representatives of the school were not
around, so it should be moved to after school would have resumed. Corper
Gabriel supported the suggestion. Corper Blessing said if the letters were
given on that day, following up would be difficult as there would be no one to
visit. Corper Sunkanmi supported and corper Yemi said even when the holidays
are over, the principals’ number of the school should be collected in order to
follow up.
The CDS president (Corper Thank-God)
announced that as against the initial plan of a Corpers paying 200, that it has
been notified that each CDS group, should pay a sum of 1000. The Ifelodun Gen
Sec Corper Ifeoluwa elaborated more on the point made by the president (Corper
Thank-God) and what the money would be used for. She said the money would be
needed as at the next day since, it was barely six days before the arrival of
batch A corp members. Corper Yemi asked how many CDS group we had and the Gen
sec replied that there were 5 groups. She said as regards to the holidays, the
LGI said no one was permitted to travel and so no one should write attendance
for anyone.
Announcement
The president (Corper Thank-God) announced
that Corper Jide was blessed with a baby boy.

Corper Blessing asked corpers to
come out to support the new corp members. The Gen Sec (Corper Ifeoluwa) also supported the idea for support. She also notified the MCAN & NCCF about their hosting of the new
corp members. She also asked the corps members whose PPA’s are in need of
Corpers to notify their principal to fill the necessary form for process.
The meeting was adjourned by Corper
Ephraim and Seconded by Corper Opeyemi.
The Closing prayer was led by
Corper Fatimoh and the meeting came to an end at 10:45 am.
