Concerning the Social media platforms for the CDS group, he mentioned that a telegram group had been created, a Whatsapp group and a website. He said that for the Whatsapp group, a bar code had been generated so that there would be no trouble of adding & omitting anyone as whoever wants to join would only have to scan the code to join the different groups. He also said that the telegram channel would basically be for information of the treasury, social events, sport events, announcement etc. Corper Lateef asked the Social Director what his plans were for the Send-forth. The Social director (Corper Opeyemi) replied that there were no funds and he intended to ask the House for a way forward.
Concerning the projects, The President (Corper Thank-God) listed the projects that the former executives handed over, which included:
1.      Painting of the Secretariat.
2.      Erecting and Renovation of the Flag post.
3.      Waste Bins at the market Square.
4.      Painting Signboard at Roadside.
5.      Toilet Renovation at the Secretariat.

The President (Corper ThankGod) said that it would be better to carry out one project at a time. Corper Ephraim said the toilet renovation was more essential, Corper Fatimah said the signpost was important, Corper Opeyemi said we should actually work with the smallest projects and then stretch mto the highest.
The President (Corper ThankGod) asked the house to give us names of persons whom they feel could support the projects. Corper Blessing elaborated further on the importance. Corper Ephraim requested that we start with our PPAs first.
Moving further to the announcements, The CDS president announced that,
ECWA Secondary School invited the corpers to their interhouse sports event. He thereby requested for delegates, to represent us at the event.

He announced the hosting of Ex-Corps members (Batch A, 2018) by Mama ECWA.
On the issues of Dues, He encouraged the Corpers to endeavour to pay their dues as it would really help us to organise a send forth for the next outgoing set (Batch B stream 1, 2018) and also, if we pay our dues, we would have money for occasional refreshment during CDS.
The Treasurer (Corper Adeosun Ifeoluwa) encouraged the house to be deliberate about paying their dues that it would be documented appropriately to avoid confusion.
The President (Corper ThankGod) talked about the buying and sharing of meat and the benefits of coming together to do such. Corper Lateef asked how the sharing would be done accurately when people pay differently. The president (Corper ThankGod) gave him his assurances that it would be accurately done, and that everybody involved would be satisfied with the different portions before blind papers would be drawn.

Corper Opeyemi asked what were the actions towards late coming and absenteeism. The President (Corper ThankGod) said, it had been an issue, and that himself and the excos had been deliberating on, since it would be unfair to collect money from latecomers and let absentees go free. So instead of query for those absent, we should see how to collect money from absentees rather than query as it will be a form of income generation.
Concerning the Send forth for Batch B, Stream 1 and Stream 2 (2018), the Social director (Corper Opeyemi) suggested that the Corpers who would be passing out should make efforts for weekly contribution to make for a colourful event. He didnt give a definite amount but suggested the amount be decided by them.
Corper Wunmi asked if the CDS group is still on Sanitation and Environmental Protection, and to which the President (Corper ThankGod) replied Yes.
In addition to the Send forth, Corper Lateef requested that the decision for the amount to be made for the Sendforth be moved to the next CDS for others to be aware.
Corper Ifeoluwa said she noticed that the CDS attendance was small and she wondered what was happening. The President (Corper ThankGod) in his reply said that, they would visit some of those absent to know about their welfare and to let them know we care.
The motion for adjournment was moved by Corper Ephraim and Seconded by Corper Opeyemi. The Closing prayer was led by Corper Lateef Adepoju.
