IGBAJA CDS MEETING HELD ON THE 28th March, 2019.
The CDS meeting started at 10:00 am with the NYSC anthem and
prayer was taken by Corper Jide. The last minutes was read by the General Secretary
(Corper Blessing) and the minutes was adopted by Corper Malik, Seconded by
Corper Jide.
The Social director (Corper Opeyemi) was called upon by 10:12
am. He first of all appreciated the efforts of the committee. He said a lot had
been discussed but it was all dependent on funds. As concerning venue, La Benson
was suggested due to accessibility, as the time of the program, which is meant
to start at 7:00pm and close at 9:00pm would be a major problem if ClayPot were
to be used, as it wouldn't be easily be accessible but as time goes on, and
since the program is meant for June, the Venue can still be changed if a better
place can be found. Concerning the dinner party, he said no dress code as
everyone should wear what they would love to. There would be presentation of
gifts to the outgoing corp members and speech by the outgoing corp members. He
said we would have to plan for:

- · Decoration
- · Rent for the location
He said yam chips, Stew with Ponmo and wine would be the menu
of the day. Jollof rice would be the served as the main course with fried fish
and egg. As concerning the amount to be paid, he said it would be ₦1000 and the
last day of payment is slated for June 6th, first week. As concerning
the attendees, some members of the house suggested that the attendance be
extended to other corp members in batch C. Corper Opeyemi said since there was
an extension of attendance, the price should be reduced. The CDS president
(Corper Thank-God) said he believed the batch C corp members should come as
observant. The Social director asked what was the take of the house on the
extension of invitees. Corper Paul said he would suggest that everyone should
be allowed to come as it was a medium to celebrate with friends. The Social
director said if the batch C would be included some things would be sacrificed. Corper
Sunkanmi suggested that everyone be allowed to attend as it makes us all One
(1) big and Happy family. He said the batch A inclusive as it would not make
sense to attend without paying.
The president (Corper Thank-God) talked about the letters, that they were ready
and only needed the approval of the LGI. The president(Corper Thank-God) asked about ideas on how
to convince the new corp members to stay in Igbaja. Corper Paul said the new
tarred road and electricity could be a medium to convince them. Corper Opeyemi
suggested that welcoming them and making them feel at home is a way of making
them stay.
The president (Corper Thank-God) said he knows that some persons are not so
social but he encouraged Corp members to try their best to show
As concerning the Holidays the CDS president (Corper Thank-God) said there was
no holidays and anyone travelling would be doing that at the own will.
As concerning the financial report, The treasurer said only
three person had paid for the month of March and the money in the account was
800. She also said the former treasurer didn’t remit the remaining money to
the new executives. She encouraged the house ot pay their dues. She, acting as
the Ifelodun Gen Sec encouraged the house to pay their commitments towards
welcoming the new corp members.
The president (Corper Thank-God) said the issue of attendance would be done in a
different manner as a list would be passed round.
As concerning the projects, If all went into plans, the
projects would be done. Corper Malik and Corper Lateef asked of clarity about the division into groups and the aim. The president replied that they were to
sought for projects that would be impactful to the community.

the corpers to yaru, Olayinka and buari were under Igbaja CDS, that if a
feasible project was seen, it could be
done.

how the attendance would be and the president said the house only had to check
their attendance online only.
